What's Unique About Love Them Now

This is the first ever Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign of its kind. Breast cancer patients, survivors and their families were asked, "What do you want the world to know about your struggle?" The responses were amazing!  April took the common themes from their responses and gives them voice in "Little Pink Ribbon."  It is available download for donation with 100% of the profits going to make a difference in a victim's life today.  The primary goals of our campaign are:

  (1) To give voice to those affected by breast cancer
  (2) To give insight to those never affected by breast cancer
  (3) To facilitate overall awareness and empathy
  (4) To impact a woman's life in a positive way NOW

"These women confided their deepest struggles of the most difficult time in their life to a complete stranger because they wanted to be heard!  That is a responsibility I do not take lightly.  They deserve a voice.  And just as passionate as I am about that, I am also passionate that we use a portion of the millions of dollars that will be raised this month and use some of it to help those who are hurting right now.  As the founder of IIIB's Carolyn Cole-Rodenburg says, "Everyone can't wait for a cure."  So we decided to Love Them Now." ~ April

The Back Story

In September 2010, April Fraiser was approached by Belle Ame Salon owner Helen Williams to consider composing a song on the topic of breast cancer for their upcoming “Style for the Cure” event to be held during the month of Ocbtober in Cordova, TN.  Hesitant to take on the task, April only agreed under the conditions that she would first gain some perspective from other's who had been more directly impacted.

Helen immediately arranged a lunch date between April and one of her customers, Mrs. Martha Rutherford of Germantown, TN, a breast cancer survivor. April was so inspired after this meeting she wanted to hear more.  The pursuit of those stories launched a project where participants were asked, "What do you want the world to know about your struggle with breast cancer?"  At that time, the primary objective still remained to write a song giving an accurate voice to those affected by breast cancer and perform it during Belle Ame's "Style for the Cure" event.

“Little Pink Ribbon” is based upon the submissions received depicting one mother’s struggle through breast cancer spanning from diagnosis to remission, including the stages of grief such as anger, depression and finally acceptance. Our hope is for the song itself will generate awareness serving as a voice for those who have been impacted and, perhaps even more importantly, insight for those who have not.

Love Them Now is a non-profit organization recently founded by April in hopes to offer hope and help to those in need.  During the month of October, Love Them Now will use the song Little Pink Ribbon as a platform to give voice to the women affected as well as to raise funds donating a generous 100% of the proceeds towards IIIb's Foundation. IIIb's, founded by a breast cancer survior, creates baskets of uplifting items and necessities to women who undergo mastectomies due to breast cancer.
